Previously on our blog you may have read the review of PlayStation Move for PS3 launched by Sony. Now whats this Kinect. Kinect is yet another amazing gaming technology by Microsoft for the Xbox 360 video game platform. It will compete with the Wii Remote with Wii MotionPlus and PlayStation Move motion control systems for the Wii and PlayStation 3 home consoles, respectively. Kinect is to launch worldwide starting with North America on November 4, 2010 and will be followed by Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Japan in new days.

Now what are the special features that makes Microsoft Kinect so amazing and different from Wii and PlayStation Move? Answer is that, Microsoft Kinect is a controller-free gaming,  which means no controller required to play the game. Yes its true. There are many new and interesting features in Microsoft Kinect. Let us start first with technology, how does is it work. A horizontal bar connected to a small base with a motorized pivot. The device features an RGB camera, depth sensor and multi-array microphone running proprietary software which provides full-body 3D motion capture, facial recognition, and voice recognition. Currently voice recognition is only available for the United Kingdom, Japan and the United States gamers.

Microsoft Kinect, full body motion capture allows you to use your whole body to play a game, not only your hands. You can ever use your own gear, for example if you want to use you own bat in a game, than it is also possible with the help of Microsoft Kinect RGB camera which scan your whole gear. Gamer can play online as well with your friends, here comes the facial recognition feature in play. Kinect uses advanced entertainment technology to respond to the sound of your voice. You can even enjoy HD movies, music and sports through Xbox LIVE. Just use a wave of your hand or the sound of your voice to enjoy 3,500 games on ESPN, HD movies through Zune, streaming music from Last.fm.
